Alkyl glucoside APG can be used as crease proofing agent for cotton cloth, powder dispersant for aqueous solution and dust proofing agent in textile industry. APG is suitable for refining, dyeing and other processing. The solution is not easy to produce foam, and can reduce staining spots. It is especially suitable for high-temperature refining agents, high-temperature dyeing dispersants and leveling agents. APG is easily soluble in alkali solution and forms a uniform solution in an aqueous solution with a mass fraction of NaOH of 10%. Short carbon chain APG is more soluble in alkali, which is suitable for preparing highly alkaline liquid cleaning agents. For example, high alkali scouring agent is prepared with 20% branched polyoxyethylene ether + 10% APG + 10% AES. It has good permeability and decontamination performance. In the textile printing and dyeing industry, if the silk fiber is excessively refined to remove fibroin, the strength, gloss and softness of the silk fiber will be damaged. If APG is added, over refining can be prevented. APG itself has a good product viscosity, which can give textile additives a certain viscosity, and its tackifying ability can be compared with that of commonly used alkanolamines. Alkanolamines will generate nitrosamines in use, which have been restricted or prohibited in some countries. When C12 ~ 14apg is used, there is no need to add tackifiers, which has no adverse effect on foam and does not produce pollution. APG can also be used as paraffin emulsifier instead of Pingjia in textile industry.
