Alkyl polyglycoside (APG) is a non-ionic surfactant synthesized from renewable plant materials such as fatty alcohol and glucose. Compared with petrochemical raw materials, it is a natural, mild and green product with sustainable development. The application of APG is helpful to the development of tableware detergent in the direction of mild, non-toxic, non irritating, good degradability and strong decontamination.

(1) According to the decontamination test, although the decontamination power of pure APG system is not strong, the decontamination power of APG combined with anionic surfactants (LAS, AES, etc.) is stronger than that of pure anionic and anionic complex systems. The results show that APG has excellent decontamination performance; It has good compatibility and good synergistic effect with other surfactants such as Las and AES.

(2) APG foam is rich and fine, and it can be used to stabilize foam with other surfactants.

(3) APG has good anti hard water performance. Its compound detergent products can achieve the effect of foaming and decontamination under high hard water conditions, and can meet the needs of consumers in different regions.

From the development trend of surfactants, products with ecological safety, no environmental pollution, strong functionality and low cost are more and more favored by people. Alkyl glycosides are new surfactants in line with this development trend. According to the research, the acute toxicity of APG is very small. The acute toxicity LD is 1000-15000mg / g, the aquatic biological toxicity LD50 is 3-101mg / L, and the biodegradation rate can reach 93.94%. When APG is combined with other surfactants, it has obvious synergistic effect. In addition to the commonly used anionic surfactants LAS and AES, other products such as MES, map, betaine and amine oxide are compounded. The compounded products can not only reduce the irritation of anionic surfactants and improve the surface activity. APG has strong performance advantages and abundant raw materials for producing alkyl glycosides. With the development of detergent and surfactant towards mild, green and natural direction, alkyl glycosides will be widely used and developed in China, which will bring new vitality to China's surfactant industry.

APG is an active agent with high ecological safety. It will not produce toxic and harmful substances during synthesis and use, and its degradation speed is very fast. Xiao Wei studied the degradation rate of APG by oscillation method and closed bottle method. The results showed that when the biodegradation experiment was carried out for 9 days, the primary degradation degree was about 90%, while the final degradation degree had reached 70%. The degraded products would not cause damage to the ecology. Experiments show that APG combined with other active agents will improve the biodegradation rate and be harmless to the environment.
