Silicone rubber plane sealant is widely used

Sealant is a kind of sealing material which is deformed with the shape of sealing surface and is not easy to flow. It is an adhesive used to fill the gap between configurations and act as a sealant. It has the functions of leak proof, waterproof, vibration proof, sound insulation and heat insulation. Usually asphalt, natural resin or synthetic resin, natural rubber or synthetic rubber and other dry or non-dry viscous substances are used as binders, with talcum powder, silica, titanium dioxide and asbestos inert fillers, followed by plasticizers, solvents, curing agents, accelerators and so on. It can be divided into three categories: elastic sealant, liquid sealing gasket and sealing putty. It is widely used in building, transportation, electronic instruments and parts sealing.


Sealant


Elastic sealant has high and low temperature resistance, fast curing, good weather resistance and high strength. The liquid state before solidification can fully fill the plane gap. Its unique sealing mechanism, better vibration resistance and aging resistance, fundamentally improves the sealing reliability, replaces gaskets, eliminates hidden dangers, and can also be mixed with gaskets contained in the dimension chain to enhance the sealing effect.

With the continuous application of new industrial materials and processes in China, industrial adhesives and sealants have been improved and specialized. It is expected that the total demand for various types of bonding and sealing materials will exceed 150,000 tons by 2020. The application of bonding and sealing materials in industrial manufacturing will be more and more important.

In the process of engine production and assembly, silicone rubber plane sealant is widely used. Engineers pay more attention to the intrinsic properties of sealants, such as oil resistance, antifreeze resistance, heat resistance and aging resistance, while less attention is paid to the performance of silicone rubber plane sealants in use. However, in order to truly satisfy the stability and reliability of engine rapid assembly seals in large quantities, silicone rubber plane sealants need to have performance matching with engine assembly process.

Silicone rubber plane sealant is widely used in engine. According to the different structure of engine, the common plane sealant positions are oil pan-cylinder block, gear chamber side cover (timing chain coating) - cylinder block head, upper cylinder block-lower cylinder block, back oil seal bracket-cylinder block, water pump (oil pump) - cylinder block, etc.

The application of these positions is completed in a few tens of minutes on the engine assembly line. In order to ensure the consistency and stability of the assembly, the gluing process is basically completed by machines. The assembly line runs at a certain rhythm. Each gluing and assembly station has a certain operating time, and the rhythm of the process is relative. Stable.
