When ionic surfactant is selected, it adsorbs on the surface of particles, providing electric repulsion force, keeping particles separated from each other, that is, providing particle charge stabilization; when non-ionic surfactant is selected, the lipophilic part of surfactant adsorbs on the particles, and the hydrophilic part extends into the water phase around the particles, forming a space barrier, that is, providing space potential resistance stabilization.

The dispersants commonly used in pesticides are lignosulfonate, naphthalene sulfonate methyl acetate condensate, polyoxyethylene alkylphenol, EO / PO block copolymer and comb graft copolymer.
