The synthesis process of polyether amine includes batch process and continuous process. Huntsman's production process is continuous fixed bed process. Using metal catalyst loaded on the carrier, its production equipment and process are advanced, and the catalyst efficiency is high. Therefore, the product has high conversion rate, less side reactions, low production cost and stable performance, but the equipment investment is huge.

Compared with continuous production, the investment of batch process equipment is small, and it is convenient to switch different product types, but the production efficiency is low, the cost is high, and the product quality also has a certain gap compared with continuous production.

Application of polyether amine.

(1) High performance composites: polyether amine can be used as a high performance curing agent for epoxy resin to produce high strength and toughness composites.

(2) Polyurea: as a key component of polyurea material, it has many applications in the waterproof system of concrete structures such as high-speed railway bridges, sea crossing bridges, dams, large venues and so on, and has shown excellent performance.

(3) Coating: it has low viscosity. When applied to epoxy floor or anticorrosive coating, it can reduce the amount of solvent and the viscosity of the system.

(4) Adhesive: as a curing agent of epoxy resin, it has excellent toughness and fatigue resistance after complete curing, and is widely used in adhesives and structural adhesives.

(5) Jewelry: it has very light color and better yellowing resistance, and can be used in jewelry manufacturing.

Polyether amine is a kind of polymer whose main chain is polyether structure and terminal active functional group is amine group. The amino terminated polyether has the following structure: X, y = 0 - n. Polyether amines are obtained by ammoniation of polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol or ethylene glycol / propylene glycol copolymer under high temperature and high pressure. A series of properties such as reactivity, toughness, viscosity and hydrophilicity of polyether amines can be adjusted by choosing different polyoxyalkylation structures, and the amino group provides the possibility for polyether amines to react with a variety of compounds.
